In this role you will: Accurately create and post general ledger entries in a timely manner. Complete account reconciliations on assigned accounts. Research the General Ledger (GL) for errors or omissions as needed. Identify and problem solve issues that may arise in day-to-day operations. Generate suggestions for improving processes and workflows and work effectively with management and other departments to implement any changes. Maintain fixed asset sub system and ensure accuracy with GL. Accurately complete monthly and quarterly vendor program compliance reporting such as CSMP, NASPO, warchest, etc. Communicate effectively with outside vendors. Accumulate and assemble required data and file sales and property tax returns. Assist with cash balances and address any account issues that may arise. Manage insurance related items and act as a liaison with insurance provider. Create and publish ad hoc reporting as needed. Ensure adequate level of internal controls over financial reporting. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. You should have: Associates degree in Accounting or 2 years of related experience with a high school diploma/equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks both effectively and efficiently. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Problem solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
