What You Do

What You Do

Responsible for maintaining positive team member relations and building mutual trust and respect between the company and its team members.

As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

  • Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
  • Collaborate with international team members from Mazda and Toyota or, other customers
  • Support the Human Resource Departments Floor Management System objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Engage with team members to ensure overall job satisfaction, and sense morale
  • Develop and maintain sensing tools for real-time understanding of morale conditions throughout the plant
  • Develop and maintain all company policies for exempt and non-exempt job classifications and ensure their consistent implementation
  • Lead conflict resolution activities including investigating complaints, policy violations, safety violations, etc.
  • Serve as team member and company advocate
  • Ensure team member adherence to policy and recommend appropriate corrective action to their leadership when needed
  • Investigate and respond to hotline calls and concern resolutions
  • Counsel group leaders and team members
  • Problem-solve issues and address allegations of policy violations
  • Support and communicate team member viewpoints
  • Build relationships with team members
  • Support and communicate MTM viewpoints
  • Promote continuous improvement and team member engagement
  • Partner with section management and understand section operations
  • Build relationships and support section leadership and team members
  • Develop management staff to ensure best positive leadership practices
  • Follow standardized investigation practices when conducting investigations
  • Ensure timeliness of project management in alignment with established KPIs
  • Offer problem resolution assistance
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
  • Ability to work outside of typical business hours and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing culture andknowledgeable of policies and procedures implementation
  • Demonstrates ahigh degree of trust, critical thinkingand influencing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)required
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's Degree inHuman Resources or related field
  • 5 years HR experience in team member relations or supplier support preferably in automotive manufacturing
