Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

We are looking for an experienced Dining Room Supervisor to join our team for the Summer in beautiful Georgian Bay ON. This is a Full Time Contract position starting June 16 2024 until August 20 2024.

Dining Room Supervisor (DRS)

The DRS will work closely with the Chef Manager throughout the season to comply with standards in dining hall and training the wait staff for Iron City Fishing Club. An ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills and can communicate well with a younger team. The wait staff team are teenagers and are the children of the members’ of Iron City Fishing Club. The DRS will train wait staff on dining hall standards and continue to mentor staff through the season.

The DRS is responsible for the daily set up of the dining hall for each meal service, which includes but not limited to arranging place settings at tables, setting salad bar, preparing hot and cold beverage stations ensure members satisfaction, taking requisitions (birthday cakes, picnics, catering).

Other responsibilities include but not limited to: Expediting meals, weekly ordering and inventory, and assisting in kitchen where required.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Three years of experience in the food service industry as a supervisor

  • ServeSafe and/or FoodSafe certified

  • Superior communication skills in both verbal and written English with the ability to communicate in French as necessary

  • Able to effectively handle the concerns of employees, customers, and clients with tact while adhering to confidentiality policies

  • Able to effectively use a computer and all related software, including POS equipment

  • Reach and lift between 0-10 pounds from floor to shoulder height

  • Frequent standing and walking required

  • Able to work in hot or cold temperatures
