Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to stage, label, and load windows onto trailers. This is done by hand or with the use of a forklift.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  • Stage and label windows for next days load-out schedule.

  • Use the daily shipping packing list to locate products and load onto trailers.

  • Use forklift to stage and load windows

  • End of the shift walks the floor to verify that no windows were left behind.

  • Keep work area neat and clean.

  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed for business purposes.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Experience in warehousing or shipping environment preferred

  • Use of hand held scanner a plus

  • Experience using computers.

  • Be vigilant about safety

  • Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to lift 100 objects per shift, between 65 to 120 pounds and be able to push objects up to 250 pounds with 2nd man. Proper lifting and pushing techniques are required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to distinguish between colors. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and must be able to hear and talk. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to stoop/bend 30 times per shift and reach/stretch 40 times per shift. Endure continuous standing. Wearing hearing conservation is required. Must be able to utilize safety knife and hammer.
