McLaren Health Care MRI Technologist - McLaren Careers in Macomb, Michigan

Position Summary:

Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs diagnostic MRI exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

:

  1. Verifies patient identity and reviews patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam.

  2. Interviews patient to obtain, verify or update medical history and assesses risk factors.

  3. Explains to the patient what to expect during an MRI. Addresses patients concerns to foster sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are meets.

  4. Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images per script/protocol.

  5. Start IV's.

  6. Knowledgeable of MRI safety and implant safety.

Required:

  • Must be ARRT certified, NMTCB certified or ARMRIT certified.

  • Must have experience in MRI.
