Down East Community Hospital Physician Billing Specialist in Machias, Maine
To seek reimbursement for physician patient accounts by billing third party payors and patients, and follow-up work as necessary to secure payment for each patient account. To perform the batching and keying of charges to patient accounts, as well as the batching and keying of payments by third party payors, insurance companies, and self pay payments.
Typing, computer, public relations skills, experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross and commercial insurance important, as well as RHC/FQHC billing.
Minimum of two years experience as Billing Specialist, related experience, or Associates Degree in related field.
