JOB TITLE: Supervisor, Night Shift

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises department workflow to ensure optimum productivity service levels are maintained for appropriate 3rd shift departments.

  • Documents attendance and conducts reviews for large associate base.

  • Supervises daily workload to ensure optimum service levels are maintained.

  • Ensures completion of all necessary paperwork.

  • Completes weekly payroll information.

  • Operates basic and advanced warehouse vehicles.

  • Promotes safe work practices.

  • Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC supervisor as defined in the MSC code of conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.

  • Strives to meet or exceed all building goals.

  • Tracks production and quality.

  • Supports associate involvement in safety through team engagement in the Safety Culture.

  • Actively engages in continuous improvement efforts within the department using assessment tools to mitigate risk.

  • Assists with the budgeting process.

    In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions.

    Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree or the equivalent required.

  • Minimum of two years job-related experience required.

    SKILLS:

  • Good working knowledge of all warehouse functions (inventory, cycle count, VMI, receiving, cubiscan, etc.) required.

  • Must obtain MSC license to drive distribution center vehicles within specified time requirements.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required.
  • Lifting items between 25 and 75 pounds required.

  • Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet required.

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time required.

    MISCELLANEOUS:

    • Position may require a valid states driver’s license.
