Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking to hire a Quality Receiving Inspector in Lynnwood, WA on day shift.

Job Summary:

The Quality Receiving Inspector evaluates a variety of products such as PWB’s, connectors, electrical components, and standard fabricated parts for conformance against engineering drawings, workmanship standards, Source Control drawings and specification drawings.

Essential Functions:

  • Verify product compliance of standard fabricated parts, such as pins, terminals, standoffs, nuts, bolts, screws, washers and sleeves for proper dimensions, finish, corrosion, damage or other similar conditions using calipers, thread gages, micro-hite, and other appropriatemeasuring instruments or similar complexity

  • Review all paperwork required by the purchase order/receipt traveler for completeness and accuracy, including that Certificate of Compliance meets all of the required specification requirements

  • Review any rejection reports on previously received parts/materials, note discrepancies, stated causes, and corrective action and use this information to indicate possible problem areas

  • Review supplier First Article reports for completeness per AS9102 requirements and audit several characteristics to substantiate accuracy

  • Ensure supplier is approved for the type of product being received per the Supplier Type list

  • Write Non-Conformance Reports if parts are rejected and elevate to Preliminary Review board or Material Review board when necessary

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Ensure tooling is kept clean and stored in proper location on a daily basis

  • Familiar with AS9100 standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of basic mechanical Inspection tools

  • Skills/Abilities: Competence to perform inspections using calipers, thread gages, scales, micro-hite; General PC skills, including Word, Excel and Oracle; Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications; Accurate color vision and depth perception; Vision corrected to20/20; Ability to work in a team oriented environment, including interfacing with Order Management, Internal Quality Engineers, Customers and other Internal Management personnel; Ability to interpret drawings and part specifications

  • Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent

  • Eligibility Requirement : This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Receiving Inspection with familiarity of industry standards in addition to part specifications

  • Experience in Aerospace

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

Hourly range: $25.00 - $35.29.
