OceanWest RV & Marine in Lynden WA is looking for a jack of all trades RV technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Examine, troubleshoot, and diagnose units that need repair and maintenance performed.

*Install, repair, and maintain interior and exterior components on motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers, truck campers, tent trailers, and van conversions. May also require various installation and maintenance on automobiles.

*Duties may include, but are not limited to, installation of accessories, performing pre-delivery inspections, reading and writing of repair orders, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance on propane, gas, and electric appliances such as furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, ranges, and air conditioners, repairs to fiberglass body and structural components, and the ability to install, repair, replace, and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings, floor coverings, cabinets, and electrical systems.

*Although all technicians may not repair engine and drivetrain components on motorized vehicles, some of our positions require these qualifications. Each applicant will be considered on their qualifications vs. the job applied for.

*Technicians will be required to install trailer and fifth wheel hitches, wire tow vehicles, and perform routine maintenance and/or repairs on the trailer frames, undercarriage, and suspension.

*Use of testing equipment, troubleshooting, and the ability to repair to manufacturer specifications.

*Use of manuals, catalogue, and internet searches as needed to perform diagnostics.

*Use of electronic and computerized instruments to perform diagnostics.

*All other responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

*High school diploma or GED equivalent

*Appropriate certification completion for any field of experience (IE propane gas certification or welding certification)

*Tools will be required at employees expense

*RVIA/RVDA certifications preferred

ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS:

*Ability and desire to obtain any certifications and licenses that are required

*Ability to communicate with supervisors, warranty administrators, service advisors, and manufacturer representatives
