Join the wondrous world of family entertainment this summer and come work the NW Washington Fair from 8/8-8/17 where you could make up to $1800 in a little over a week! You will be joining one of the safest, cleanest, most widely respected carnivals in the West. Work under a dazzle of bright, whirling lights, music, rides of every kind, thrills, games, and good food.

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of attending duties such as ride operators, concessions, games, and ticket booths. The following are overviews of the different positions you may find yourself working in. You may find yourself shuffled around to different areas to fill callouts and openings. It's important to understand that this is a big event to put on with a lot of moving parts involved, so being a team player is crucial to the success of the team and event.

 

Ride Operator Requirements: {#ride-operator-requirements dir="ltr"}
  • Provide outstanding customer service.

  • Scan FunCard using a scan gun.

  • Assist customers in/out of the ride, as needed.

  • Climbing, as needed.

  • Monitor ride cycle to ensure proper operation of ride.

Game Concessions Requirements: {#game-concessions-requirements dir="ltr"}
  • Provide outstanding customer service.

  • Scan FunCard using a scan gun.

  • Stand for the entire shift.

  • Communicate to customers' operation and rules of game.

Food Concessions Requirements: {#food-concessions-requirements dir="ltr"}
  • Provide outstanding customer service.

  • Understanding of food transmitted diseases.

  • Good personal hygiene.

  • Must be able to make correct changes without the aid of a calculator.

General Requirements: The following are required of all personnel; {#general-requirements-the-following-are-required-of-all-personnel dir="ltr"}
  • Comply with all company rules and regulations.

  • Have positive, pleasant attitudes at all times.

  • Fair goes rain or shine; all jobs are done outdoors.

  • Overtime is required during large events.

  • Good personal hygiene.

  • All positions require long periods of standing.

Minimum Requirements:

This is entry level!

  • Have dark blue or black slacks (no sweats, yoga pants, jeans, or otherwise)

  • Have a clean white shirt to wear under your checked out uniform shirt

  • Have comfortable shoes that will support your feet as you will be standing in one place for 10-11 hours a day (no open toed shoes)

  • Be clean shaven (no stubble or beards)

  • Comply with the grooming standards for long hair (women in ponytails and men no longer than collar length without purchasing a uniformed hat to hide it under)
