PeaceHealth is seeking an LPN Clinic for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position.

The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $26.18 – $39.28. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

This clinic is located 25 minutes from Bellingham, WA. The idyllic town of Lynden, Washington is known for being Washington State’s largest Dutch settlement and the largest producer of raspberries in the nation. Established in 1874, Lynden is also known for its rich history, which lives on in the city and its businesses.

Responsible for ensuring delivery of quality nursing care to clinic patients as directed by physicians and other healthcare providers. The Clinic LPN functions as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team and fulfills/shares the roles and responsibilities of rooming nurse, resource nurse, and clinical support nurse in the ambulatory patient care setting.

Details of the position:

  • Assesses and implements patient care under supervision. Prepares patient for examination.

  • Provides direct patient care. Assists provider with examination and treatment of patient as directed.

  • Under the oversight of provider, may be responsible for telephone triage using age specific triage protocol books and computerized resources.

  • Documents patient care in health record according to department standards.

  • Obtains and conveys information to and from patients, pharmacies, and other providers as directed and supervised by a licensed provider. May obtain referral authorizations for treatment as directed by provider.

  • Ensures own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

  • Accredited State Board of Nursing LPN Program Required.

  • Minimum of 1 year Preferred: Clinical experience as an LPN.

  • Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs.

  • Required Upon Hire: Licensed Practical Nurse - Washington, and

  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support.

Skills

  • Basic computer skills required including familiarity with MS Office applications. (Required)

  • Must have cooperative working and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients, families and staff. (Required)

  • Effective prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical tasks at one time. (Required)

  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, flexible and able to function independently. (Required)
