    Your Opportunity

    This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Industrial Safety Manager in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Quality and Performance Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Overseeing personnel responsible for the implementation of occupational health and safety programs and processes. The individual will work with the Human Performance Program Manager and Installed Base - America (IB-A) staff to provide a robust program for eliminating human error in order to prevent adverse industrial safety events. In addition, this position will coordinate overall management of the safety program, OSHA compliance, and crisis management activities.

  • Collaborate with management and serve as the primary contact for injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, incident reports, investigations, case management, and correspondence.

  • Through consultation with appropriate staff members, develop procedures and practices to eliminate human performance error in order to drive a reduction of adverse safety events.

  • Analyze performance data in order to identify trends and develop action plans to address emerging issues and weak signals.

  • Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with implementation and effectiveness of industrial safety programs.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for safety rules, regulations, and best practices.

  • Plan, implement, and provide oversight of preventative care, safety, and compliance training for employees and managers.

  • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow-up assessments.

  • Implementation and oversight of industrial safety improvement and corrective action plans.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $110,000 - $149,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
