Catholic Health Initiatives Baylor St. Luke's Health Advanced Practice Provider Float Pool - Lufkin, TX in Lufkin, Texas
Job Summary : Candidate will join a newly formed Advanced Practice Provider pool for coverage in our various clinics across the CommonSpirit Health Texas Market more specifically Lufkin/San Augustine area. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction in a collaborative environment to provide direct patient care. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Prior experience in Urgent Care setting would be beneficial but not a mandatory.
Experience : 1-3 Years' experience preferred, but new grads also happily considered
Required Skills :
Flexible and willing to support organizational needs with regard to healthcare and market changes
Solid clinical expertise with a commitment to patient care outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to serve as a team member and clinical leader in the workplace
Customer service oriented
Education and Certifications required:
Master's degree Graduate from an approved PA or NP program;
Texas license,
National Board Certification
BLS (active).
Core Competencies for Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC)
Obtain and record medical history;
Perform physical examinations including rectal and pelvic exams as appropriate;
Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including but not limited to laboratory test etc. as applicable to specialty coverage;
Formulate a diagnosis ;
Identify and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic interventions as allowed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, Texas Board of Medicine, Prescriptive Authority/Collaborative Practice Agreement, And DEA regulations ;
Educate and counsel patients and families according to diagnosis ;
Make appropriate referrals to patient and family;
