Serco QA Specialist - Part-Time On -Call - Ludlow MA in Ludlow, Massachusetts

In the role of QA Specialist, you will perform quality dimensional and visual inspection and testing of precision machined components by programming and operating CMM equipment in conjunction with using various measuring devices to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

In this role, you will:

  • Verify conformance of high complexity products using various inspection instruments (micrometers, optical comparators, thread gages, dial indicators, hardness tester, multimeter, and cylindrical plug gages).

  • Read and interpret production travelers and engineering specifications to ensure product conformance at each manufacturing product sequence.

  • Record data from inspection files and maintain accurate and legible inspection records.

  • Attend meetings and provide requested information, as requested.

  • Maintain safety and quality standards using acceptable housekeeping practices

  • Recommend/design inspection fixtures or gages for production purposes.

  • Other occasional work assignments not mentioned may also be required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge and Experience with inspection tools, such as calipers, micormeters, thread gages, etc.

  • Knowledge of Circuit board assembly inspection

  • Ability to assist with designing/developing quality gauging to improve efficiencies
