LUDLOW Patient Care Technician Job Summary: The Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) is a Nationally Registered EMT, who works alongside the Medical direction of ConvenientMD. The EMT-B is provided with the education to complete all of the shared responsibilities and clinical tasks such as triage, testing, procedures, and other patient care services. The EMT-B will function as part of the clinical team completing all medical procedures, tests, orders and tasks within their scope of practice. Required Skills and Competencies: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, Holiday and on-call duty. Demonstrates authenticity, understanding of others and promotion of strong relationships between self and patients, team members and the external community. Support your team members and patients through kindness; demonstrating understanding for others, and contributing to the creating a community of belonging within the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare reports and related documents and to maintain working relationships with physicians and other team members. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality with all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Identifies better ways of working, be resourceful to achieve the best outcomes for patients, the team and the organization. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Education and Credentials: State Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (Basic), required. National Certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Basic), preferred. Basic Life Supports (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals (Online Courses & Certifications Not Accepted). Experience: 1-2 years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) preferred. 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department preferred. Travel: Must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic. Required to travel for training shifts which will occur outside of your primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute.
