Position Description:

Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Develop and write internal and external philanthropic communication pieces, including the annual endowment report, donor letters, news stories & press releases.

  • Design email marketing templates, brochures, donor proposals, graphics, invitations, holiday cards and other print and web collateral.

  • Manage social media pages to promote engagement and two-way dialogue with various stakeholders (donors, alumni, community members).

  • Assist with the planning and execution of Texas Tech Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors meetings and events

  • Develop and write internal and external executive communication pieces on behalf of the vice chancellor and Texas Tech Foundation Board leadership, including researching issues and preparing summaries, remarks, and presentations.

  • Produce content for the Institutional Advancement/Texas Tech Foundation website and assist with the upkeep of the website as needed.

  • Collaborate and partner with staff from university advancement teams on communication pieces.
