Organizes and develops course work, coordinates classes for students, observes and assesses the needs of the students. Major/Essential Functions:

  • Assists in planning and preparation of vocational, nutritional, and social skills lessons to enhance student's job skills, life skills, and social skills through use of best -practice intervention activities, program design, records management.

  • Participates in workshops, trainings, and on-line courses required for certification as a student job coach.

  • Maintains and updates proper documentation for student job resumes and evaluations to track progress.

  • Serve as a lead job coach for placing students in internships, counseling and training students on duties and responsibilities of the internship/job.

  • Assists in planning curriculum and class activities to all Transition Academy students.

  • Participate in behavior management and instructional programs.

  • Participates in academic and behavioral assessments.

  • Communicates with parents, staff, and Transition Academy students on a daily basis.

Develop lesson plans and provide group and individualized intervention for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, faculty, and administrators on developing individualized instructional and behavior management programs for individuals with autism . Assist with data collection. Communicate with parents, administrators and staff on a daily basis. Participate in parent training. Flexibility for minor schedule changes.
