Low Voltage Technician, Tier II

DataTrust Tower and Telecom is looking for an experienced low voltage technician who has a high-level understanding of many variations of low voltage systems. The right applicant should be competent in several or all of the following technologies: structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, network infrastructure, fiber-optics, tower work, distributed antenna systems, wireless networking, and commercial audio. Tower work is not required but is a highly sought-after skill. The type of tower work that we perform requires an individual that can be a highly skilled low voltage technician at heights up to 500. Any certifications in these areas would be a plus. It is expected that an experienced low voltage technician will have his or her own basic hand tools but this is not required. A company truck and fuel card will be provided along with more advanced tools and equipment. The right applicant will have a strong work ethic and be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments to include working in inclement weather. This is a full-time permanent position. Our typical work hours are Mon through Fri, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM although certain jobs will require extended hours. The applicant must be able to pass both a federal and state background check. This position will require that the candidate works on a team, either as the team lead or as a team member, as well as having the discipline to take on a project by themselves. Our company is known for our attention to detail and therefore the applicant will be held to the high standard that everyone in our company maintains. The right candidate will take pride in both his or herself as well as his/her work and will be looking to advance their career in this industry. DataTrust Tower and Telecom covers a variety of projects so our applicant should be open to possibly shifting from pulling cable inside to working long days at a tower site. DataTrust Tower and Telecom is based in Loxley, AL and currently operates in south AL and along the FL panhandle. Travel is not normally required but does come on occasion for both jobs and training. We offer Blue Cross Blue Shield health, dental, and vision, a simple IRA plan, and paid time off. Starting salary is $40,000 to $50,000 pending qualifications.
