This category is part of the Pentair Air Systems group, a global leader in advanced separation and filtration products as well as solutions for the clean air and industrial filtration market. You will own your territory, manage existing accounts, and identify new business opportunities by understanding client requirements, designing solutions, and helping customers understand the value of Pentair's products, solutions, and technologies.*** This is a territory sales position and will require up to 50% overnight travel to customer sites across the territory. Territory will vary based on where candidates are located. ****You will:- Maximize sales revenue of established accounts, as well as target new business opportunities with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and distributor partners in the industrial air filtration market, such as industrial dust collection and air pollution control equipment.- Develop and utilize a strong technical understanding of our products to address customer needs and promote brand awareness and preference, including making technical presentations.- Utilize an understanding of market trends to develop sales tools & account plans to achieve and exceed the sales targets & goals.- Partner with internal teams in the bid & proposal process and clearly understand all customer needs and expectations. This may include negotiating terms and conditions.- Provide feedback for innovation, Voice of the Customer (VoC), capture market & industry trends, and competition intel and customer purchasing strategies to develop new solutions, grow market-share, and penetrate new markets.Key Qualifications:- Knowledge of and/or experience with industrial filtration products/industry, preferably industrial dust collection and/or air pollution control equipment systems from a sales perspective.- Have 3+ years of industrial sales experience, preferably including experience selling to OEMs and distributor partners.- Strong sales aptitude, including ability to understand customer needs and requirements, identify solutions, build long-term dynamic relationships, and driven to find new markets, channels, and/or accounts.- Excellent presentation skills, including experience presenting technical product information and/or training.- Team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Travel:- Up to 50% (including overnight) to customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings.Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer*Diversity and Inclusion:With our expanding global presence, cross-cultural insight and competence are essential for our ongoing success.
