Our client, a large-tier healthcare entity, is looking for a Senior System Engineer to join their team. They specialize in software components that are used in hospital and hospices - allowing for easier tracking and managing of patient care. They have a large datacenter in the Louisville area, so ideally looking for someone near that.

They need someone strong with Windows and the Microsoft stack. There will be Linux based work as well, so any exposure there is a nice to have. But overall, this person will be helping with their Entra implementation, cloud based connectivity, and automation. If you have any skills with Ansible, Azure DevOps, and/or Kubernetes, those will be useful as this is a role that will turn into that.

This is a 4-6 month contract-to-hire position. Primarily remote based work with some onsite/on call needs when an incident occurs in their Louisville based datacenter. Compensation is $55-60/hr on contract, converting over to $110-125K. Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with Windows and Linux.

  • Experience automating tasks using Bash or Powershell scripting.

  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps methodologies.

  • Experience working in a datacenter environment.

  • Experience with configuration management tools like DSC, Ivanti, Ansible, or Puppet.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in system administration or engineering.

  • Related certifications or degrees nice to have.

Tech Skills

  • Windows & Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, and/or CentOS)

  • Ansible or Puppet

  • Bash or Powershell

  • Kubernetes
