This position effectively directs and assists employees in the sanitation department with regards to their required duties, along with developing and maintaining Sanitation records and documentation. Organizational Relationships Reports to: Production Supervisor Supervises: No direct reports Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Follows all company policies and procedures. * Ensure that all chemicals are labeled and stored in secured locations. * A thorough knowledge of company SQF and HACCP programs is required. * Complies with all safety procedures and participates in safety trainings. Safe and efficient use of all equipment, tools, and PPE is required at all times. One must also follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures when necessary. * Reports any injury, incident, accident or unsafe condition immediately to a supervisor. * Follows all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Monitors and corrects violations in assigned areas. * Communicate any sanitation issue to supervisor/management. * Possess a working knowledge of pest control procedures. * Must aide in creating/developing, improving and completing SSOP's (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) for the company. * Timely completion of all required paperwork. * Will be required to use a forklift, Ariel lift and/or ride-on floor scrubber as needed. * Reports to the sanitation supervisor on status of cleaning chemicals and materials. * Timely completion of assigned cleaning duties and must maintain good housekeeping in assigned area(s). * Maintain and communicate status of waste and recycling goods. Standards of Performance * Informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers. * Ability to overcome minor issues within established procedures. * Accurate and timely completion of projects. * Initiative to maintain the flow of work with established practices. * Exceptional oral and written communicative skills. * Effectively manage interpersonal relationships encouraging openness, candor and trust, both internally and outside of Algood Food Company. * Successful performance of duties within a team environment. * Maintenance of Company information in a confidential manner. Mental and Physical Requirements * Ability to maintain full concentration with frequent time pressures and interruptions. * Constant bending, standing and walking. * Ability to frequently lift or carry minimal weights up to 50 pounds. * Persistent stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling and squatting.
