ISCO Industries Inc. Manufacturing Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky

Description

ISCO Industries is an end-to-end piping solutions provider that specializes in HDPE. Manufacturing Engineers create and build tools, equipment, products, and solutions to give the operations and sales teams what they need to be the best in the industry. This position is based in our Louisville fabrication facility where we have a dedicated projects area for product R & D and equipment design and fabrication. Experience a balance of design work in the office, R & D and fabrication in the shop, and travel for on-site work.

Essential Duties

  • New product R & D.
  • CNC and Robotic manufacturing equipment setup and support.
  • Design and build new equipment to be used in fabrication facilities.
  • Maintain and improve existing equipment in fabrication facilities.
  • Manage and execute fabrication facility upgrades or additions.
  • Procure tools and equipment for fabrication and distribution facilities.
  • Document and organize all projects worked on.
  • Manufacturing process and organization improvements.
  • Support operations and company initiatives.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.

Base Qualifications and Competencies

  • Education: Qualified candidates will possess, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline. Prior work or internship experience working with plastics and/or in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience: 3 - 10 years. Experience designing and building equipment and procurement of tools or components required. Robotics and/or CNC machining experience is a plus.

Skills: Proficient knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD as well as project management and organizational skills preferred. Must also have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.).
