University of Louisville Department Coordinator II in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma/GED with two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 2 (Hourly)Position Description:The Department Coordinator II for the Visits & Events team assists and supports recruitment of high school students through assisting with the coordination and hosting of on campus events. This position provides administrative support to the Associate Director with particular emphasis on facilitating individual student visits (e.g., Campus Visit Program, shadow visits, academic department visits, etc.). This role also works with Communications staff regarding web, digital communications, and publications. Have excellent written and oral communication skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport Visits & Events team in daily operation of campus visit program, group visits, events, and the admissions front desk as needed. Present to prospective students and daily campus visit and groups information on U of L and general information on preparing for and applying to college.Assist with various components of large campus events for prospective students and families.Collaborate with Admissions and academic unit stakeholders to establish, maintain, and develop academic department visits for prospective students and families.Schedule and Log information on student visits and events utilizing Slate CRM.Under direction of the associate director, facilitate shadow visits for prospective students.Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degreePresentation, supervision, and event planning experience. Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to work with a diverse population of students, parents, and high school counselors, and the ability to multi-task and work within a team framework.Competencies Detail-orientated, dependable, reliable and ability to work in dynamic team environment.
