In Strategy, you will identify and analyze exciting new growth opportunities and work with business leaders to prioritize strategic investments and execute strategic transformation. 'Strategy Operations' is one of three teams within the Strategy organization, which also includes the Corporate Development and Strategy Planning functions. The Strategy Operations team provides consulting services to Humana's lines of business on a project basis. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of projects that help operationalize strategies across the enterprise and solve complex business problems.Relocation to Louisville, KY or Washington, DC is required for this role. The Strategy Operations team follows a hybrid model, working together in the office 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Helping lead cross-functional corporate strategy engagements executed in partnership with senior leadership and business development teams

  • Managing the scope of work, prepare analyses and deliverables, and ensure high-quality results that bring out the best thinking of the team

  • Working with Humana and Corporate Strategy leadership to establish and communicate the corporate strategy

  • Developing relationships with internal stakeholders and key external partners

  • Developing and refining key team operating systems and managing individual team and project members

Use your skills to make an impact

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 4+ years of finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, corporate development and/or corporate strategy experience, and/or equivalent

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications, including experience building and evaluating financial models

  • Ability to identify, structure and solve business problems

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

  • Strong work ethic, detail orientation and passion for excellence

  • Ability to interact with senior leadership internally and externally

  • Ability to work independently on a team, and with remote teammates

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a top-tier graduate business of public health program

  • Understanding of the US healthcare industry, preferably with industry work experience

  • Strong executive presence

  • Commitment to innovative thought, strategic thinking, and making a difference

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$123,800 - $170,400 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
