CBTS Technology Solutions LLC Connectivity Specialist in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and/or migration of networking solutions within the Communications Practice at CBTS. Engineers in this role will work with customers to gather network design requirements, develop installation plans, create network diagrams and documentation, and will be responsible for the successful installation and configuration of voice and data networking solutions. This position requires the engineer to problem solve and troubleshoot issues that arise in the course of turning up data services. Engineers will work directly with field technicians, internal resources, and customers. Top priorities in this role revolve around providing well-designed solutions and great customer experiences.

Essential Functions

Implementation and turn-up of data services including but not limited to NaaS, SDWAN, IPVPN, Dedicated Internet, and SIP (50%) Perform network discovery activities in preparation for the implementation of data services (30%) Complete various administrative tasks, network audits, and device onboarding activities (15%) Other duties as assigned (5%)

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of experience implementing and troubleshooting carrier, enterprise, and/or SMB voice and data network services.

  • Basic - working knowledge-creating and/or analyzing network design technical diagrams

  • Basic - working knowledge of a wide variety of routing and switching technology and protocols

Education

  • Four years of High School or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses

  • CCNA (Routing and Switching) strongly preferred

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to problem solve under stress

  • Thorough understanding of basic networking design principles

  • Ability to complete tasks against a timeline

  • Solid understanding of network monitoring tools

  • Demonstrate an ability to build network services

  • Design, write and maintain system documentation and network diagrams

  • Create and edit knowledge/training documentation
