Conagra Ammonia/Refrigeration Technician in Louisville, Kentucky

Shift: This role is 3rd Shift, 10:00 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $38.25 an hour + $0.75 shift differential

We are hiring for a NH3 tech to help produce biscuits, hotcakes, and McGriddles at our Louisville, KY facility. You will report to the facilities manager.

  • Second & Third Shift available

  • Location: Onsite at our Louisville, KY plant

  • Hourly Rate: $38.25 + shift differential

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on Utility Equipment to increase overall effectiveness.

  • Prepare documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, etc.) for providing written support in compliance with regulations or conveying information

  • Complete required documentation and logs regarding equipment operation, run hours, temperatures and pressures associated with Boilers and Compressors (Ammonia and Air).

  • Service, repair and rebuild valves and pumps.

  • Monitor and document condition room temperatures.

  • Operate and monitor the Hot Water Heater making pressure adjustments as necessary.

  • Monitor department emails and notify those on shift of active alarms or faults.

  • Comply with all current and future Safety, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety Procedures.

  • Comply with all PSM/RMP regulations

  • Participate and maintain Process Safety Management Program.

  • Coordinate work with outside contractors

  • Help perform major and minor repairs on Utility Equipment (Boilers, Ammonia Refrigeration, HVAC, Air Compressors, Fire Retention Systems and Cooling Towers).

  • Participate on the PSM/Safety Pillar

  • Other duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Education or equivalent

  • Need 2 years experience in utilities with an emphasis in HVAC/R, Controls or Electrical. Can pass RETA CARO exam within 90-days.

  • 2-4 years in NH3 with RETA CARO Certification - Ideal.

  • Will perform all job functions safely.
