City Of Louisville Sustainability Program Manager in Louisville, Colorado

The City of Louisville is searching for a Sustainability Program Manager. This position is under the general supervision of the Deputy City Manager and performs professional, technical, innovative and strategic work to advance the City's plans for a sustainable future. The Sustainability Program Manager provides leadership and coordination of complex projects and is responsible for tracking and reporting progress toward achievement of the sustainability goals and plans. Supervises Sustainability Specialist position.

Highlights for this position include: Louisville is a city in Boulder County that has positioned itself as a national leader in the sustainability and climate action space, as one of the first cities in the country to create and adopt a plan and roadmap to decarbonization municipal facilities, fleet and equipment. The City of Louisville leads by example and has adopted science-based greenhouse gas emission reduction targets for both the municipality and the community, aiming to reduce emissions 60% below 2016 levels by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. This position is one of the greatest opportunities in Colorado to advance skills and abilities in sustainability as it includes policy work, project management, supervisory responsibilities and management of sustainability programs and events.
