Synectic Solutions Inc Weapons Logistics Supervisor in Los Angeles County, California

Looking for an opportunity to work with a talented team and expand your experience as an Ordnance Logistician? Synectic Solutions Incorporated needs to add an Ordnance Logistics Supervisor to support our current list of services provided to the U.S. Navy.

 

  • Direct, develop or perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating logistical actions that support a specified mission, weapons system or designated program.

  • Perform periodic independent systems evaluations and develop recommendations for system improvements after performing thorough studies and analysis.

  • Monitor compliance with Federal, State and DoD regulations.

  • Collaborate and plan with various personnel to coordinate and/or integrate operations and interests of other organizations.

  • Responsible for planning, managing and the coordination of the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics activities needed to sustain system fielding.

  • Gather facts and develop appropriate solutions to problems that require command attention due to their critical nature and are high visibility.

  • Manage inventory support, container and canister support, stowage/warehousing support, Equipment and material planning support.

  • Maintain a Material Documented as Safe program (MDAS)

  • Maintain a, Ammunition and Explosives Qualification and Certification program.

  • Develop, establish, and implement an Occupational Safety and Health program (NAVOSH) Elements shall include Workplace Inspections, Mishap Preventions and Medical surveillance at a minimum.

    Required Qualifications Education:

  • Must be knowledgeable in OPNAVIST 5530.13D, OPNAVINST 8000.16, OPNAVINST 8023.14 (Series) NAVSUP P-723, NAVSUP P-724, NAVSUP P-805, MIL-STD-129R, MIL_STD-2073-1E wit Change 4

  • Must be able to successfully pass an explosive physical exanimation.

  • Must successfully pass an Arms Ammunition & Explosives Screening

    Clearance:

  • Position requires a Secret Clearance that must be maintained for the entire employment.

    Experience:

  • Position requires five years of logistics experience relating to Navy Ordnance.

  • Three years management experience with DoD contracts ensuring quality of products and services, schedule, cost control, business relations, and management of personnel that includes:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage administrative activities of the contract.

  • Review and maintain quality of technical work done on the program.

  • Assure and monitor timeliness and quality of all work products.

  • Monitor and report task order performance and financial status.

  • Track budget to actual expenses based upon authorized funding for various programs.

  • Manage schedule, and task execution.

    Additional Preferred Experience:

  • A working understanding of the Ordnance Information System – Retail and Ordnance Information System – Wholesale  

  • A working understanding of the Automated Planning Systems (APS)  

  • A working knowledge and understanding of the Surface Missile Systems Maintenance Data system (SMSMDS).

  • A working knowledge and understanding of the ESSM Maintenance Engineering Data System (EMEDS)

  • A working knowledge and understanding of the Surface Missile Engineering Production System (SMEPS)  

    Salary Range: $34.68 to $41.92
