Visual Merchandising Manager

ANINE BING is looking for a Visual Merchandising Manager to join our team in Los Angeles.

The Visual Merchandising Manager shapes our brand's aesthetic, ensuring consistent and compelling visual experiences across all global customer touchpoints. This person will bring the immersive world of ANINE BING to the customer, while simultaneously helping to elevate the brand and product experience through Retail, Wholesale, and Global Channels.

The ideal candidate blends artistic proficiency and creativity with strategic thinking, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of advanced contemporary or luxury retail. Success in this role requires significant experience in visual merchandising, proficiency in design software, and strong leadership skills, along with a proven ability to define success metrics and drive quantitative results.

Responsibilities Include

  • Visual Merchandising Execution: Conceptualize, implement, and maintain visual merchandising standards in all ANINE BING concepts, including retail, wholesale shop-in-shop, and wholesale showroom, ensuring a consistent and elevated luxury aesthetic.

  • Campaign Production and Execution: Lead the production and execution of quarterly brand campaigns in-store, including seasonal window displays and store collateral.

  • Visual Merchandising Direction: Develop and communicate monthly visual merchandising plans to support new product launches and sales growth, adapting strategies based on business trends and metrics.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to align visual strategies with brand identity, ensuring all visual presentations uphold the brand's DNA.

  • Project Management and Installation: Oversee the full cycle of new retail visual projects from conception to installation, including seasonal windows and fixture updates.

  • Store Visits and Mentoring: Conduct regular virtual and in-store visits to ensure a consistent visual brand image, mentoring store employees on visual merchandising best practices.

  • Asset Management and Maintenance: Maintain an inventory log of existing store assets and ensure consistent visual-related upkeep, coordinating repairs and overseeing store collateral production.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience leading Visual Merchandising efforts, preferably within advanced contemporary, or luxury brands

  • Experience in managing projects from conception to completion, with a strong ability to coordinate multiple tasks and timelines.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor teams with a highly motivated, goal-oriented, and adaptable mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present visual concepts and strategies to various stakeholders.

  • Thorough understanding of visual merchandising principles and retail industry trends with strong attention to detail and creative mindset for visual merchandising and store design.

  • Tech savviness and proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)

  • Willingness to travel frequently, including out-of-state and international travel as needed.

Compensation

  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000
