UCLA Health Undergraduate Research Assistant - ABCD Study in Los Angeles, California

Description

Dr. Bookheimer's lab is looking for a student assistant to provide assistance on the ABCD study. Duties include:

  • Assist in participant recruitment (screening, scheduling, and other participant outreach)

  • Data collection (administering questionnaires, semi-structural interviews, neurocognitive ipad games and computer games, biospecimen) in-person and remotely via Zoom

  • Assist in MRI scanning (second scanner) at the Brain Mapping Center and Staglin scanning locations.

  • Re-stock supplies in testing areas as instructed and other clerical tasks

  • Attend weekly lab meetings.

  • File study data as instructed.

Must be a current UCLA Student, comfortable running a 3-6 hour protocol, assisting in screening, scheduling, participant outreach, and other general clerical lab tasks. This position will require remote and in-person duties. This position will require weekend and afterhours availability.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $37.50 hourly.Qualifications

  • Must be a current UCLA Student.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, Internet, Mac OS

  • Proficient writing and editing skills.

  • Be highly organized and reliable.

  • Ability to prioritize work; communication skills to speak clearly and distinctly.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment; maintain positive working relationships with staff and faculty; ability to work independently.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

  • Communicate clearly in e-mail.

  • Communicate clearly orally for telephone calls, presentations and community activities.
