Job Description

Inframark is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Process Engineer - Wastewater to help grow our Technical Services function. The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for providing expert level engineering, process, and management support to municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.

The O&M business unit manages water and wastewater utilities, collection and distribution systems, public works departments, natural gas distribution, and other services for over 100 municipal, industrial, and military clients nationwide.

What you will do:

  • Identify causes of inadequate wastewater treatment plant performance and provide recommendations to plant staff/clients to resolve deficiencies.

  • Conduct operational and maintenance performance modeling and provide recommendations to enhance plant performance and efficiency.

  • Review capital investment proposals to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective solutions are selected and implemented. Assist in the selection of new operational technology.

  • Manage application of the wastewater process model and train on its use in treatment plants..

  • Provide technical guidance, support and recommendations to both internal teams and external clients as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of relevant training. Write and present reports to municipal governments. Prepare written guidelines on the operation and process control of specific treatment plants and treatment units processes.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience : BS in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering and 12+ years of water/wastewater experience or MS Degree with 12+ years of water/wastewater experience in operation and management of treatment facilities.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License. PE Certification preferred. Highest level of state wastewater operator certification in at least one state required.

Technical : Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Ability to analyze, interpret and report complex data. Comprehensive knowledge of water and wastewater processes, preventive/predictive maintenance programs and process control, and municipal utilities.

Communication : Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Asks for constructive feedback. Communicates detailed information.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The work environment will include both field and job site as well as an office environment: sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting are required to perform job responsibilities. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 20 lbs.
