ASM Global Security Guard (FT - LACC) in Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles Convention Center has an excellent opening for a Security Guard at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown Los Angeles. The Security Guard participates in the day-to-day functions of promoting and ensuring both security and safety in the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Security Guard provides direction, safety and security for any event related activity as required.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond to all security needs and calls for services, work Security and local law enforcement as necessary.

  • Provide customer service to all guests and employees while monitoring crowd flow, point-of-sale transactions that may occur in parking garages or around the facility.

  • Work closely with operations staff to effectively meet visitors and programming needs while maintaining safety and security measures.

  • Work with other departments in managing various crowds under constantly changing event environments.

  • Conduct regular inspections of all LACC areas; rotate posts as assigned.

  • Write reports; report any malfunctions, misconduct, or operational and safety issues.

  • Interview victims and witnesses; write incident reports as necessary.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of public safety plans for day-to-day operations and special events.

  • Follow and adhere to policies and procedures needed to maintain security within the venue, loading dock and perimeters.

  • Assure property is secure and that no damage occurs due to visitor negligence or vandalism.

  • Provide leadership and input as it relates to Guest Services at other ASM Global venues.

  • Direct Guest Services Representatives when necessary. Guide outside security personnel who are contracted to work various LACC events.

  • Other duties as assigned by management

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School Diploma or GED.

    No security experience required. Must be able to obtain a CA/BSIS Guard Card within the first 90 days of employment.

    Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
