Insight Global Quality Project Manager in Los Angeles, California

Job Description

An employer sitting in Moreno Valley, CA is looking to hire a Quality Project Manager that will be supporting day to day activities. This team is building a new compressor station that will help to increase the pressure of natural gas into their transmission lines. This person will be reporting to the Quality Management Team Lead that is supporting this major capital project. He/She will be working with the Construction team, providing audits and reporting. This position will be paying between ($40-$60/hour).

Other responsibilities include:

 - Ensures compliance of quality management minimum requirements for contractors, records management, gas standards and procedures as related to federal, CPUC, and local regulations.

 - Conducts routine QA oversight in each functional area of engineering, construction, supply management, equipment and materials, welding, etc.

 - Supports internal and external audit responses.

 - Helps assure effective implementation of the project QA/QC program through assessments, audits, etc.

 - Oversees contractor quality activities to ensure they are in being performed in compliance with the project requirements.

 - Vets and approves vendors that provide inspection services for multiple disciplines (welding, civil, electrical, instrumentation, etc.).

 - Approves and oversees the coordination and execution of Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP's) for the project.

Assesses the scope of each project and determines the appropriate resources required to deliver the project within the requirements of the contract as it pertains to quality.

Skills and Requirements

  • Obtained High School Diploma

     - 5-7+ years of experience within Quality Control Management in Construction projects; Any applied Compressor station quality experience

     - Experience ensuring compliance of quality management minimum requirements for contractors, records management, gas standards and procedures as related to federal, CPUC, and local regulations

     - Experience drafting quality plans, conducting QA oversight, audit support, approving vendors for inspection services and execution of ITP's (Inspection and Testing Plans)

  • Applied knowledge of ASME B31.3 and any related work to welding, concrete, structural steel, etc. - Any related construction experience on Substations, understanding of electrical system

     - Utilizing PowerBi (+) for dashboard usage null
