UCLA Health Project Manager, Applications (Flex Hybrid) in Los Angeles, California

Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned projects meet scheduled timelines and budgets, as well as achieving high customer satisfaction with business partners. This individual should have the requisite project management experience to serve as a key leader in the deployment and implementation of key strategic initiatives for the electronic health record (EHR). This individual must possess the experience to oversee and deliver standard project management artifacts (project charters, status reports, budgets, project schedules, scope documents, etc). Moreover the Project Manager must have the background and experience required to interact directly with strong technical engineers, technical management, operational business owners, and executive leadership.

Primary responsibilities for role include:

  • Lead collaboration with business customers to define/refine project scope and objectives

  • Lead project team to achieve scope, schedule, and budget requirements and overall value realization.

  • Hold project team members accountable to schedule and deliverables.

  • Develop, coordinate and publish project status reports

  • Manage detailed resource planning, budgeting, cost estimating, and cost control.

  • Track lessons learned and manage best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with PMO delivery requirements and procedures.

  • Track, manage and lead risk management planning, identification, qualitative/quantitative analysis, risk response planning, monitoring and control.

  • Maintain issues log and track progress of issues through to resolution, ensuring that all issues are escalated in a timely and appropriate fashion

  • Support workstream/project lead with day to day running of project administration tasks

  • Support overall program related activities including coordination of program and project meetings, documentation and publication of minutes

This is a flex-hybrid role which will require you to be onsite at least 20% of the time or as needed based on operational need. Please note that there are no reimbursements for travel to "home office" location.

Each employee must complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager which will outline arrangement parameters and aids both parties in fully understanding expectations. Arrangements are regularly evaluated, and are subject to termination.

Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. The full salary range for this position is $95,900 - $222,100 annually. The budgeted salary that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately between the minimum and $150,000 annually.Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience that includes creating business requirements, project plans, project schedules and associated project materials

  • 4+ years minimum experience in project management

  • Experience with supporting Electronic Medical Record (EMR) / Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations

  • Expert understanding of project management and project management tools

  • Expert understanding of software development and infrastructure project lifecycles

  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate

  • Technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables

  • Expert usage of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Excellent communication skills as related to project management strategy, schedules, tasks, deliverables, risks, and issues.

  • PMP preferred
