UCLA Health Physician Advisor (Hybrid) in Los Angeles, California
Description
As the Physician Advisor, you will provide physician
leadership and clinical expertise related to coordination of patient care, length
of stay and level of care management, care variation
management, patient flow/throughput management, ancillary services utilization
and clinical documentation improvement. You
will review clinical cases to provide a physician perspective towards decisions
on care coordination, patient status, care progression, patient access
(authorization), care variation management and clinical documentation.
Salary Range: $124,600-$289,400/annually
Qualifications
We're seeking a detail-oriented clinician with:
An unrestricted license to practice medicine in California, required
Certification by a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), required
MD or DO degree, required
8 or more years of relevant experience, required
Completion of specialty residency (e.g. Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine), required
Qualify for membership as a member of UCLA Health Medical Staff, required
Five or more years hospital utilization management experience
Advanced analytical, critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills
In-depth ability to develop and pursue goals, integrate complex functions and develop and apply innovative solutions
