Robert Half Part-Time Payroll Specialist in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California. The role will primarily involve accurate and punctual processing of payroll, including the entry and verification of payroll and time and attendance data. The Payroll Specialist will be the main point of contact for payroll, time, and attendance inquiries.

Location: 90045, Onsite Training for 2-4 Weeks, Hybrid Work Schedule thereafter

Position Type: Contract to Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end payroll processing duties accurately and efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

  • Handle payroll inquiries from employees promptly and professionally.

  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and audits as needed.

  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to resolve any payroll discrepancies.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with Paylocity is required

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • 5+ years working experience with multi-state payroll processing and payroll taxes at federal, state and local levels

  • Knowledge of and ability to understand and adhere to procedures for payroll compliance
