UCLA Health Nurse Navigator - Oncology in Los Angeles, California

Description

The nurse navigator is a professional, clinical registered nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the Oncology patient population throughout the continuum of care.

He/she will facilitate coordination of care, continuity of care, as well as provide support and education to the patients and their families. The nurse navigator ensures patients in this population receive care using the nursing process in accordance with the standards of professional nursing practice. The nurse navigator performs in the professional role as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA); engaging in activities related to ethics, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality improvement, leadership, collaboration, professional practice evaluation, resources utilization, environmental health, and patient advocacy as appropriate to clinical nursing practice.

Salary Range: $95,900.00-$222,100.00/annually

Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid CA RN License

  • MSN Degree

  • ONS Chemo/Bio Card or equivalent

  • CPR/BLS card from AHA or ARC

  • At least 3 years Oncology population experience

Preferred:

  • Charge nurse experience

  • Out patient experience
