Network Security Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA (San Fernando Valley)

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week - Monday, Thursday, plus one day of your choice)

Type: Full-Time

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 + Benefits

On-Call Rotation: 1 week every month

Join our dedicated and growing team as a Network Security Engineer! We are an innovative technology company seeking to expand our internal security team. If you're passionate about cybersecurity, thrive in a dynamic environment, and are ready to help us safeguard our network, this role could be for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, focusing on Palo Alto Cloud Services, Panorama, and Palo Alto Firewalls.

  • Conduct cybersecurity analysis, log auditing, and review policies to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with the internal security team and our 3rd party SOC (Security Operations Center) to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents.

  • Participate in on-call rotation one week every month, providing incident response support as needed.

  • Keep up-to-date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in network security.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in network security or cybersecurity.

  • Strong experience with Palo Alto Cloud Services, including Panorama and Palo Alto Firewalls.

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis, log auditing, and policy compliance.

  • Familiarity with Sentinel is a plus.

  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with a flexible on-call schedule.
