UCLA Health Medical Scribe Per Diem, Westwood - Radiation Oncology in Los Angeles, California

Description

The Medical Scribe, under the Nurse Manager's guidance, enters orders, transcribes medical data accurately and prepares electronic charts for patient visits. As our Medical Scribe you must prove to be proficient in the clinic's electronic medical record system and available for training as needed. Additionally, you will complete return-to-work and school forms and assists in abstracting and cataloging paper records into electronic format.

This role involves travel between our Westwood and Santa Monica locations, with potential for additional sites in the future. You should possess strong attention to detail, communication skills and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Salary Range: $23.86 HourlyQualifications

* * CPR Certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - preferred

* * Ability to handle confidential material while protecting its strict confidentiality.

* * Ability to organize and track multiple records and requests and follow through in a timely manner.

* * Ability to proofread very detailed materials and monitor work accurately.

* * Ability to work flexible hours and travel to department clinics, as assigned.

* * Knowledge and skill in using various computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email and basic database software

* * Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal supervision

* * Strong interpersonal skills to effectively and diplomatically interact with others.
