Amazon Marketing Manager, AWS Global Brand Media, AWS Advertising & Social in Los Angeles, California

Description

The AWS Global Brand Media team is looking for a media manager with experience developing and executing strategic media plans backed by data-driven insights and industry trends. Our team is responsible for creating paid media strategies that shape how our prospective and existing customers perceive the AWS brand.

In this role, you will drive the process of planning, building, and executing an integrated brand advertising media strategy tailored for specific target audiences and campaign goals across the globe, with a significant emphasis on social media channels. The successful candidate will possess skills in media strategy, project management, relationship building, and analysis. You should be able to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, including customer research, finance, creative, campaign management, and outside agencies. You should be comfortable working across multiple time zones and able to work at both strategic and tactical levels, executing paid media campaigns, improving processes, analyzing metrics, and solving problems.

You should be knowledgeable about the media industry and familiar with the latest media trends. Success in this role depends on the candidate's ability to be curious and adaptable, identifying opportunities for campaign optimizations and consistently applying learnings to drive marketing decisions.

They should have excellent attention to detail, precise and effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a constantly evolving environment. They should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and execute global brand advertising strategies across multiple channels such as social media, programmatic, TV, and out-of-home.

• Ensure all media plans balance both scale and efficiency, and are tailored based on global and local nuance, customer cohorts and specifically towards delivering campaign goals

• Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure strategic alignment, effective execution, and post-buy analysis.

• Experiment with media mixes and identify scalable processes to drive brand awareness, consideration, and perception.

• Collaborate with campaign teams to align media strategies with brand messaging and business objectives.

• Stay informed on media consumption trends and serve as a subject matter expert on paid media.

• Drive innovation and consistent best practices across all campaign stages, from planning to analytics, with a focus on social media strategies and tactics.

• Develop test and learn scenarios to continue to innovate and accelerate media performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

  • 5+ years’ experience at a media agency, or as a brand media manager managing agency partners

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights

  • Experience with Salesforce and Tableau

  • Strong understanding of B2B brand advertising strategies especially in the digital and high-technology space

  • Solid quantitative and analytical skill - comfortable with data analysis and able to use data to make recommendation

  • Global work experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market.
