Netflix Manager, Corporate Development in Los Angeles, California

We are Netflix’s Corporate Development team. Our focus is on sourcing, evaluating, and executing M&A activity on behalf of Netflix and analyzing other strategic opportunities for the company. On this team, we work with all the business units to identify opportunities and assets that can help us achieve our goal to entertain the world.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  1. Drive our M&A strategy and execution as part of the Corporate Development team.

  2. Work with key business unit leaders and senior management on M&A.

  3. Identify and analyze greenfield business opportunities for the company.

This role will report directly to the VP, Corporate Development and will sit in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze M&A opportunities:

  • Help ideate M&A opportunities for the company and provide initial evaluation of inbound M&A and investment opportunities

  • In conjunction with team members and business unit partners, provide analysis to evaluate a variety of deals and present recommendation to senior management

  • Draft and author memos summarizing deal recommendations

  • Deal execution and integration:

  • Independently capable of leading business, financial, legal and regulatory diligence

  • Coordinate the due diligence process, managing multiple parties including internal business leaders, third-party diligence providers and seller counsel and management

  • Negotiate key deal terms and manage deal process including key stakeholders, cross-functional partners and third party advisors

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in M&A in investment banking and/or corporate development.

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, critical thinking, communication and judgment are a must.

  • A self-starter with the ability to drive day-to-day deal execution from start to finish and collaborate effectively with Corporate Development team members and other stakeholders.

  • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines.

  • Highly organized and strategic with the experience to implement best practices to ensure the team operates in a highly efficient manner.

  • High tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish enormous amounts of work in an ever-changing environment.

  • Clear written and verbal communication.

  • Respect, understanding and enthusiasm for Netflix culture.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment; The ideal candidate will be capable and comfortable working in a deadline-driven setting.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $210,000 - $500,000
