ManpowerGroup Machinist Grinder in Los Angeles, California

Our client, Aerospace Company, is seeking a Machinist Grinder to join their team. As a Machinist Grinder, you will be part of the manufacturing team supporting the production. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating grinding machines, reading and interpret blueprints and using proper machine tooling which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist Grinder

Location: Sun Valley, California

Pay Rate (or Pay Range, if required): $26.00

What’s the Job?

Sets up and operates one or more grinding machines both manual (centerless) O.D and I.D Grinder (Parker Majestic, Crystal Lake)

Surface Grinder such as small HARIG 618 Auto and large OKAMATO Auto

CNC (Studer) to grind external cylindrical surfaces of metal workpieces to blueprint and work order specifications

Knowledge of grinding wheel feeds, speeds, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels type to be used

Capability to read blueprints and work orders for product specifications, such as dimensions,

tolerances and number of parts to be ground in addition to tooling instructions

What’s Needed?

High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred

Ability to read measuring equipment. (Calipers/Micrometers)

Math skills to perform basic calculations

Read and interpret blueprints

Demonstrate attention to detail
