Netmarble US, Inc., one of the leading mobile video game developers and publishers in the world, is looking for a highly competent, energetic, and games-loving individual for its KO-EN Localization Associate position.

Responsibilities

  • Translate and localize game texts from Korean into English

  • Make sure the localized text meets cultural, lingual, industrial, and technical criteria

  • Maintain consistency with existing localization style and terminology

  • Work with proofreaders and editors to ensure the quality of the localization

  • Coordinate with other departments and global partners to achieve localization objectives

  • Communicate with developers to ask for clarifications if needed

  • Report job progress to localization team manager

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in Korean and English

  • 1+ year of experience in translating game-related texts or industry-relevant experience

  • Passion for games and game localization

  • Extraordinary attention to detail

  • Excellent writing and editing skills

    Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools such as memoQ

  • Familiarity with games in both Korean and English

  • Ability to research various IPs to maintain consistency with existing localizations

  • Bachelor’s degree in relative major or equivalent professional localization experience
