Netmarble US, Inc., one of the leading mobile video game developers and publishers in the world, is looking for a highly competent, energetic, and games-loving individual for its KO-EN Localization Associate position.
Responsibilities
Translate and localize game texts from Korean into English
Make sure the localized text meets cultural, lingual, industrial, and technical criteria
Maintain consistency with existing localization style and terminology
Work with proofreaders and editors to ensure the quality of the localization
Coordinate with other departments and global partners to achieve localization objectives
Communicate with developers to ask for clarifications if needed
Report job progress to localization team manager
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
Native-level fluency in Korean and English
1+ year of experience in translating game-related texts or industry-relevant experience
Passion for games and game localization
Extraordinary attention to detail
Excellent writing and editing skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools such as memoQ
Familiarity with games in both Korean and English
Ability to research various IPs to maintain consistency with existing localizations
Bachelor’s degree in relative major or equivalent professional localization experience
