Meta Lead Counsel, Litigation in Los Angeles, California

Summary:

Meta seeks a sharp, strategic and highly motivated, team player to join the Litigation team. You will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams across the company. This role requires good judgment, a strong work ethic, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a strong interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. This is a great opportunity to work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

Lead Counsel, Litigation Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and drive strategy for high-profile litigation and pre-litigation matters, including regulatory litigation, consumer class actions, antitrust, constitutional, and commercial disputes, and other content-related matters

  2. Collaborate with and manage outside counsel

  3. Advise cross-functional teams on litigation strategy and risks

  4. Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities in partnership with our world-class eDiscovery team

  5. Develop creative approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar

  2. 5+ years of litigation experience at a law firm, government, and/or in-house role

  3. Experience managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously

  4. Experience managing high stakes, complex litigation

  1. Experience working with technology companies

  2. Experience defending litigation with state and federal regulators

  3. Experience managing class actions

  4. Experience working with cross-functional teams, both legal and non-legal

  5. Trial and appellate experience

Public Compensation:

$167,000/year to $233,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
