Description

Join our team as part of a dynamic research team, you will support cutting-edge studies in cellular immunology and virology under the guidance of the Principal Investigator and laboratory manager. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting molecular biology and immunology experiments focused on the cellular immune response to HIV-1 infection and organizing the resulting data. You will also manage essential laboratory functions, such as ordering and stocking supplies. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn new techniques and take on special projects as assigned.

Salary: $19.32 - $22.37 hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Skill in communication. Speak clearly and distinctly using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and convey information.

  • Ability and willingness to work long hours and/or weekends on an intermittent basis.

  • Ability to perform a given protocol with meticulous precision and in a reproducible way with directed supervision.

  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records of experiments and equipment.

  • Skill in basic computer data acquisition procedures.

  • Ability to work closely with other technicians in conducting large-scale experiments.

  • Skill in reading and following instructions in laboratory protocols and other scientific documents.

  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
