UCLA Health Histotechnologist Lead (Night Shift) in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are seeking an experienced histology professional to serve as the Histotechnologist Lead for our night shift. As the Histotechnologist Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our laboratory operations. Primary duties include:

  • Address and resolve technical and operational issues that arise during the night shift to maintain smooth laboratory operations.

  • Observe and review staff technical performance, including embedding, sectioning, and staining quality, and provide necessary guidance and feedback for improvement.

  • Assist with preparation for accreditation and regulatory inspections, including OSHA/CAP inspections, to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

  • Develop training documents for use in the laboratory section to facilitate the training and development of staff members.

  • Provide oversight of the supply and/or reagent inventory management system to ensure adequate supplies are available for laboratory operations.

Salary Range: $64.20/hour - $79.78/hourQualifications

  • Must possess Histotechnician HT(ASCP) or Histotechnologist HTL (ASCP) certification.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g. HiSET or GED).

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of histology experience.
