Snap Inc. Group Product Manager, Minis in Los Angeles, California

The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap Inc. This team of designers, scientists, and product managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that bring our community together in new and special ways.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join Snap Inc. and drive the future of Snap Minis. Launched at our 2020 Snap Partner Summit, Snap Minis allows developers to build social experiences for the global Snapchat community. You’ll partner with engineering, design, partnerships, marketing, comms, our broader product team and external partners to translate and drive the high level vision for Snap Minis into an actionable long-term plan and lead the product team to execute the plan. You’ll be responsible for building an ecosystem within Snapchat that drives success for Snapchatters, our developers and Snap. This role is based in Los Angeles.

  • What you’ll do:

  • Lead the PM team responsible for our Core Minis Platform products and execute a robust and holistic roadmap that delivers great outcomes for Snapchatters and our Developers

  • Partner closely with senior leaders of our Engineering, Product, Design, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Partner Engineering teams to define and drive the strategy, business goals for our Minis Platform

  • Collaborate deeply with our Partnerships team and our external developers to identify the best Minis opportunities

  • Leverage partner data, market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and to inform the product strategy and roadmap

  • Serve as a thought leader for our Minis Platform

  • Evangelize Minis internally and externally with continuous updates on our latest developments, successes and future plans

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to lead cross-functional, high-performing teams

  • Proven ability to translate a high-level strategy into concrete milestones and deliver results with limited oversight and guidance

  • Extraordinary communication skills and experience presenting complex topics to broad audiences; both internal and external

  • Ability to own and direct a complex platform product and drive success across all stakeholders within the ecosystem

  • Excellent critical thinking skills and a proven ability to solve challenging problems

  • Ability to make timely decisions without clear direction or all the information at all times

  • Ability to effectively cross collaborate with engineers, designers, and other cross-functional teams

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a technical field, economics, science, psychology, or mathematics or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of product management experience at platform focused technology companies

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and passion for marketplace and platform ecosystems

  • Experience building consumer applications on mobile platforms, coding as a plus

  • Experience leading a team

  • Passion for Snapchat!
