Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of PeopleSoft as well as reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating the PeopleSoft business system user needs. Business systems are segregated by line of business (LOB): Materials Management, Grant & Fund Accounting, and Finance. Responsible for (1) translating business requirements into design documents for coding, (2) investigate errors and/or problems and assist with a solution/ fix, (3) write queries and/or reports, (4) perform testing, and (5) aid in the development of training materials.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

•Write detailed description (requirements) of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify PeopleSoft applications.

•Evaluate / analyze PeopleSoft application fixes.

•Develop and implement test plans in collaboration with the Systems Analysts; includes processes, panels, reports.

•Evaluate new PeopleSoft modules and third party software.

•Work closely with other PeopleSoft business analysts – Materials Management, Finance and Grant & Fund Accounting.

•Provide preliminary user acceptance of LOB modules and coordinate final user acceptance of LOB modules.

Education

Bachelor's Degree required

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP):

  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft 8.
    • Knowledge of software lifecycle, with skill emphasis in requirements definition, testing, and implementation.
  • Superior and demonstrable skills in analysis and trouble-shooting.

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills to write business communications and group presentations.
