With a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions ("M&A"), our practice advises clients through critical stages of the transaction process and is intimately involved each step of the way. Even as an Intern, you can become a value-added deal team member offering meaningful contributions to the practice. The Intern program attracts ambitious, high-caliber candidates who are seeking responsibility and a unique introduction to the world of M&A. Working closely with client-facing deal teams, you will provide recommendations that are aligned with an organization's business goals and overall strategic and transactional objectives. Constructing financial models to help clients assess growth strategies, capital structure decisions, and transaction alternatives will help you develop a comprehensive technical skill set. Concurrently, you will employ a number of core valuation methodologies to help businesses evaluate their worth in the marketplace and advise them on appropriate ranges at which to conduct transactions. Also, you will have the opportunity to learn how to appropriately position businesses in the investor community by articulating value propositions and anticipating potential concerns. Across these responsibilities, you will receive considerable exposure to senior bankers and clients as you participate in each phase of the transaction process.

Regardless of project type, your work will require:

  • Ability to analyze companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team on multiple tasks and assignments

  • Demonstrated leadership and strong verbal and written communication skills

How You'll Grow

Our internship is structured as a 10-week program that kicks off with preparation from both leading Wall Street training organizations and practice-specific modules led by our professionals. These training modules will provide part of the foundation that will help you to succeed in your internship. Throughout the program, your leadership and talent professionals will also work to deliver engaging learning and networking opportunities and a variety of social activities to enhance your internship experience. Along the way, you'll have access to mentoring, counseling, and training opportunities to help foster and accelerate your development of new skills and capabilities.
