The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is located in the vibrant heart of downtown Los Angeles and is the largest private employer in the city. As an employee of USC, you will join the "Trojan Family," a community comprised of faculty, students, and staff who contribute to the university’s reputation as a world-class research institution. USC’s Keck School of Medicine is seeking a competent Program Administrator to oversee our cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) facility. This facility supports the development and manufacturing of cell and gene therapies and other biological products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support including scheduling, managing correspondence, and preparing reports to support facility operations. Act as the primary communication liaison between the facility staff and external stakeholders to ensure effective information exchange and stakeholder engagement.

  • Oversee the daily purchasing of laboratory supplies and equipment to ensure the facility operates without interruptions. Handle all aspects of financial management including the preparation and execution of quotes, processing invoices, and ensuring proper documentation of all financial transactions.

  • Support in negotiating and managing contracts with vendors and partners. Act as the primary communication liaison between the facility staff and external stakeholders to ensure effective information exchange and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop and execute marketing plans to promote the facility’s services, enhancing its visibility and attracting new clients. Develop, implement, and review administrative policies and procedures to improve efficiency and address operational needs.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, working closely with the facility director and other key personnel to achieve business and operational goal. Support educational activities within the program by performing administrative tasks essential for the organization and execution of training courses.

This is a 3-year fixer-term position.

The annual base salary range for this position is $82,791- $92,964. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
